Dry socket/alveolar osteitis is a detrimental and excruciatingly painful post-extraction condition of the socket caused by breakdown clot leading to denudation that exposes underlying bone not protected blood or healing tissue persists within around alveolus for days after surgical tooth extraction with without halitosis suppuration. It inevitable dry will develop during routine oral surgery dental procedures. The common factors cause are smoking, poor hygiene, traumatic extractions inexperienced dentists, previous bacterial infection, inflammation, fibrinolysis, systemic disorders, in conjunction contraceptives, menstrual cycle, rapid irrigation normal saline. management directed towards palliative care.
